TDI -- Strange vibration at low speed

We have a 2005 Jetta TDI. We absolutely love this car.
A few weeks ago, we started noticing a strange, almost imperceptible "wobbling" feeling when starting from a stop. This low frequency vibration goes away at about 25 MPH. It has been getting slowly worse and now we can feel it when we accelerate from relatively low speeds.

Has anyone here had a similar experience? Is it possible that the CV joints are going bad and causing this phenomena?

Any advice will be most appreciated.

BTW, I for got to mention that we have 160K miles on the car.

I supose it's possible that a wheel bearing can cause this kind of feel. When the car was new (< 1000 miles) the right rear WB did go bad and VW dealer replaced it immediately. However, that one did not feel like this. I produces a steady humming vibration and sound that got worse with speed. However, I HOPE it's a WB. That would be less expense than the CV joint.

Also, I could be wrong, but as you suggest, I wonder if it's possible for a wheel with a missing balancing weight to cause thios kind of vibration.
