Fmic piping question

I'm going to put a eBay fmic on my mk4 jetta. I wondering if it marks a large difference on which pipes should be the longest run. It seems that many run the cold side with the longest pipe run. It would seem to me that the cold side would be best served with the shortest run. Second Is pipe diameter for ease of routing 2" would be great. I will Havre a vnt 17 shortly. Any input would be appreciated

In terms of practicality, I don't think you would be able to route the piping on such a way where the cold side is shorter. I doubt it would really make much difference anyways. I ran 2.5" eBay piping with my vnt17 and it was difficult but not impossible. 2" would probably suit your needs
