Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 68000

The frist 2 years I was getting about 42MPG on highway driving and was quite happy given thatI am a lead foot.

I never changed my driving habits and now I am getting 32MPG. (last trip of 400 miles on 80MPH highway - lots of cruise control used)

I am very carefull and measure my consumption all the time.

I am soncerned that maybe maintenance is a factor. I have not yet taken it in to the dealer to do the 60K scheduled maintenance, nor have I drained the water from the fuel filter (couldn't find the said plug, so maybe I don't need to worry about that)

ANY HELP would be appreciated.
I am quite handy, and wouldn't mind doing a little work on it myself. Just the major stuff that I don't have tools for I will leave for a mechanic.

Thanks guys.
