As published in the USAToday this morning:
http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/story/2011-10-10/vw-hopes-for-mainstream-sales/50724312/1

Highlights:
Compares VW today to Hyundai of the 1980's. "VW is one of the most promising brands for the rest of the year and next year"

VW sales are up 22% for the first nine months of 2011, compared to 10% rise for the overall market.

VWOA will make an operating profit this year, first time since 2003. And report an all-in profit in 2013, including the cost of the Chattanooga plant.

Browning says that VWAG is more interested and committed than ever to the US success.

Rebecca Lindland, auto analyst for IHS Automotive, sums it up best:
"She says the brand must not loose the main ingredient that makes it the most appealing in a rush to hit the numbers: "They can't give up thier 'Volkswagenness.' That's what makes them standout; that's why people like them."
