A bit sad to sell but I'm out of time and space. Car runs, drives, and has potential. Body pretty solid for an older MN car. Drive as-is, fix-up, or parts. The ALH smokes heavily for a bit (smells like diesel fuel) on cold startup. After warming up a bit the smoke goes away and the car seemingly runs well. Turbo works good. Car seems to pull well. I've been driving it some.

Bad/Needs:
-Cold start smoke/misfire
-Cracked windshield
-Rear axle bushings worn, clunk over bumps
-Glovebox door broken, black interior fair
-Minor rust front fender area (treated/painted)
-Exhaust needs some finishing
-Steering wheel off-center (drives nice down highway)
-Trans. intermittently has a delay/lag going into 4th gear (does not slip)
-Plenty of dings, scratches and body imperfections. Rocker bent up on one side.
Good: (Many new parts within previous 1k miles)
-New Timing belt and all components. Timing set properly with high quality parts.
-New Alternator and drive belt
-New exhaust downpipe/flexpipe and resonator
-New front strut assemblies
-New lower control arms, ball joints, links, etc.
-Engine sounds good/quiet and does not use oil
-Cooling system and heat work well, no leaks or coolant loss
-Intake manifold has been cleaned
-New headlight assemblies
-New front tires, all are good
-Good MN tabs
-Clean and clear MN title

Golf has several other replacement parts (not listed) installed, have most receipts. Extra/spare parts included if wanted.

If that wasn't an Auto people would probably be knocking your door down for this. I know I would.

Jason

PS: If I didn't already have two kids under 2 I would hop on a plane and drive back over the weekend.

Thanks Jason. Nobody breaking my door down yet. Manual swap would fix that! I think it is priced fair? I'm losing my @$$ on this machine, such is life! I hope to not stay a stranger to this great forum and people.

Someone needs this...
