Got a call from VW saying that the Gen 2 fix wasn't actually installed and a glitch happened during the flashing process. Even though it was in to the dealer almost 6 months ago and got the fix stickers etc. they are now offering $250 for the inconvenience and also offer up a loaner car. just need to schedule it with my local dealer. Something seems fishy. Anyone else run into this?

Being someone that has a lot of friends that tune and therefore flash ECUs, I've seen a few times where the ECU can go and or was bad when the flash was applied. I also work in IT and as much as we depend on our computers there are times when they die and or don't do what we want them to.
Brightside: It didn't take and didn't kill your ECU, can you imagine how long it might taken to get a NEW ECU. Take the $250 and go to a nice dinner. Just keep "records" in case you have any issues down the line.
