There are just too many to list....
The EA113 based ones are great, yeah. LIke to eat ignition coils, but they are cheap and easy to replace. I recommend people carry a spare with them if they travel somewhere, even though the newer ones are supposedly improved.

Lots of power in a small package. Reasonably torquey, reasonably frugal. No TDI, but pretty good for a gasser. The 1.8t B5 / slushbox is kinda poochy around town, but once on the highway not too bad.

Alright, my dad said the shipment of new parts showed up yesterday. Thanks Aaron.

Anyway, looks as though I am going to be tearing into this thing in the morning. Is there anything that I should need, different tools, timing gun, VCDS of course. What do I need to check with VCDS, or is there anything I need to check. Things to play round with and investigate with VCDS? I am just looking for more insite on all this fun. Oilhammer, what is your number? :) just kidding.

Thanks for all the help thus far.
