toping off diesel filter housing

First time attempting changing fuel filter.

I've seen some different posts regarding what to top off with....can I do it with the liquid moly diesel purge? Or don't bother and just use some diesel?

It won't be necessary. Unless you sucked all the fuel out of it, there will be PLENTY of fuel in there to prime. The fuel system actually primes really fast, and the vast majority of the fuel that goes through the system just gets cycled back to the tank anyway.

You can run the output test with a scan tool if you like, but I do not think it makes much difference.

I used to clean out the filter housing by unbolting it and dumping its contents into my HHO furnace tank, then refill the housing with Power Service, BTW Power Service sales guys approve of this method. It was easier to top off with than filling a small container at the diesel pump.

But the last few filter change outs, I just pulled the filter and replaced the filter, much less mess, hassle and time.
