new key fob no trunk remote

so I was having a range problem with my key FOB so I ordered a new one.. I programmed it with the 2 key method and and it works the doors and has range but will not open the trunk the old one will but you have to be with in a foot of the drivers door for it to work

Dumb question, but I assume you are holding the trunk unlock for several seconds?

yes The Old remote works Just has no range.. I bought 2 other remotes that where wrong part number...

The comfort control module (CCM) under drivers side carpet can get wet and the connection can corrode try cleaning the connection with electrical cleaner.
