Windows don't go up and down via the switches. The only thing that seems to work is with the key in the door lock. That opens and closes the all the windows at the same time. What do we do to straighten this problem out.

If you have a Haynes or Chilton manual, throw them in the recycle bin. Did you have the ignition switched on? Does the car seem to run fine? Does everything else electrical seem to work correctly?

Start by checking fuses.

The windows seem to go up now but do not come down without the key in the door lock.
Car seems to run good. The check engine light comes on but it has been doing that since the the instrument cluster has been repaired quite some time ago. The window problem is recent.

Looks like all the windows are working ok now except the driver's. Goes up but doesn't go down with the switch pushed down.
