Unhappy jumped time

i know shouda wooda coouldi, but I put off belt replacement one day to much.
One morning my sons car would not start and you know.
Just as a general rule how much damage is done, a few bent valves or should I exspect more?

A few bent vlaves, possibly guide damage and probably follower damage. Frank can take care of your head.

Head needs to be redone. Complete TB replacement. Could possibly be damage to rods, but remote chance.

Figure up to $2500 to fix.

Good guess. I found a replacement engine for 2000 cdn $$, but these cars are more plentiful up here. Expensive mistake. And I did the engine and tranny swap myself.

All retired, bought a Subaru.... all wheel drive, and a little bigger than the high line. Time will tell!

If you are mechanically inclined, can follow instructions, and have the TB tools...you can do this yourself quite easily. Yank the head and send it to user Franko6 (profile link in my sig) and he will send it back to you in a care package with the rest of the parts you need for reassembly.

Frank's prices may have changed but the head work and parts should run you $1400 or less. Bent rods are unlikely, but measure piston projection to be sure.
