Looking to get some work done on my 03 Golf TDI's suspension and was wondering what size fr sway bar bushings I need to order, 21mm?

23mm supersedes the 21mm part IIRC.

To answer your question: There are two (2) different size anti-sway bar bushings.
1J0-411-314-R "21 MM"
1J0-411-314-T "23 MM"
The simple way to verifi which size bushings your TDI will need is to use a 21-MM combination wrench as a guage. If your wrench will not fit over the sway bar you will need the 23-MM bushings.

Polyurethane bushings? How hard to install?

pretty easy to do. needlenose vise grips help get the clamp closed enough to start the bolt

You may also need to get the "humped" bracket. Take a look at the bracket that is currently installed. If it's got a flat back, order a Couple of these OE Part Number: 1J0411314T
