looking for auto trans for my car. No access to for sale forum. I know most want to go standard. But I just want to swap in a new one. advice is welcome, on putting in new one or where to find a used one. Thanks

- 2003 Jetta, 253K, 01M, DLC520s, VNT-17(sold); 2014 Passat SE 6M, 61,000 miles (Feb 16 buyback date)
short version is new = $5-6K from dealer. Used/rebuilt ~$2-3K crapshoot. What exactly is wrong with yours? Some issues are simple fixes.

no reverse at all in neutral or reverse, small pieces of metal found in trans pan.

Search for posts by "CoolAirVW". Resident 01M guru. Doesn't sound good though.
