Silicone Coolant hoses

I noticed that Samco advertises a coolant hose kit for the ASV TDI engine, how similar are those hoses when compared to an ALH? I am rerouting my EGR coolant lines so those will not be needed, btw the kit is advertised on the Samco UK site and not on the US one.

in terms of coolant hoses, the ASV and ALH are identical.

On marine engines (my work) we have had silicone hoses slide off of nozzles when under pressure. Be careful using these.

Spray hair spray on oil free hoses before mounting them onto the pipe. let dry 7-12hrs before filling system and running it under pressure. If you had coolant hoses sliding off you will not after that.

Use high quality T-clamps too! No blow off !

T-bolt clamps can crush the nozzles under the hose. Be careful with those too.

Or just use oem hoses.

Nothing like seeing all those pretty blue hoses on a fried engine. Looks great!!

Experience noted, going with OEM hoses again...
