If the key # is 0 and then 4 digits it may be your PIN/SKC. If it doesn't start with a 0 then its likely the key cutting code.

Not quite sure what you mean.. but to be clear, VCDS / Vag-com *cannot* retrieve the SKC.
In order to obtain the SKC you'll need a trip to the dealer or an investment in some expensive commercial software like Vag-Tacho (illegal eBay clones notwithstanding).
