Bellingham WA Beetle Rally

Bellingham WA Beetle Rally this Sun. Sept. 16th

Keith Cox in Bellingham is organizing a beetle rally and food drive.
This is where we bought our TDI and it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. He is a great, honest salesman and I would recomend him to anyone looking for a used car.
I will be driving my old air cooled beetle.

We have a Type 3, is there a club near Bellingham for type 3's or all aircooled Dubs?

Only has rims on it and we lowered it.......

Will be doing paint, but we picked it up in Wenatchee.....Rust free, mint interior.

Yah, there were a few "non beetle" air cooled's there. A Vee Dub cruze is hard to resist.
It's a very rare occation that I'll drive my beetle in the rain, but it was all for a good cause.
It's pretty much a summer cruzer. I don't know how it works up there, but mine is registered and insured as a collector. The tabs never expire and it's only like $120 a year to insure.

As a collector here, you have to have everything original........No mags etc....

I believe they may be changing that soon so you can get a "modified" collectors.

Ahh Yes, Chuckanut drive is an amazing drive rain or shine!
We did about a 30-40 min loop around town starting at Bellingham high school.

From there we followed Cornwall ave to the Guide and re-grouped at the mall.
Then down Bakerview to Woburn, left on Alabama up and over the hill. Then headed over to Lakeway and through downtown on E. Holly st and back to the school.

It was alot of fun, but with all the lights inbetween we got really spread out.
