Hi all I need a bit of help. I am trying to change my middle rear seat belt on my 99.5 Jetta.
The one I had didn't have a steel wire connected to the seat release mechanism but the one I bought from a used parts dealer has one. When the wire is in the pulled position, the mechanism of the belt is release and when it is at rest, it is blocked.
I can't figure out where the steel wire is supposed to be attached as there is no fixture that seems to be made to hold it.
Can I simply remove that wire or is there something I am not seeing?
