Few question on Golf mk3 TDI

Hi everyone, I'm quite new to the car industry and especially to TDI's. My first question would be:
I'm driving down the road, doesn't matter the speed or which gear you're in. You have a sudden loss of almost all engine power, press and release clutch, everything is fine again. What could be the cause of such power loss?


Also, does anyone have the numbers for 1Z and AHU fuel pump plunger travel? All I can find is about TD's or saying that I need a special computer to check pump's timing.


Last but not least, engine AHU and no power after 2500 revs, while it idles at 1200, what could be done here?


I would be very grateful for any help I can get.

Maybe you can find a local expert. Also, the VCDS or VAG-COM is required for certain diagnostics, repair and 'calibrations'.
