It will fail again. It's not if but when, as even the newest cams shows the same weakness, although it might last longer than the original ones.im570rm said:bosio race nozzles, fmic and a 2359 from merc or maybe 2260 if you don't wanna sacrifice bottom end respounse should be more then enough to go last over 250 hp and pray that the cam will not fail again
i think i've given up on the idea of making my 701s capable of 260bhp because the costs is to high. £700mojogoes said:You could use something of the lines of which Shadowmaker is using or has used in the past.........gt2360v gt2556v gt28v gt35v etc would all work on your V6 motor.

Noise, oil consumption, drop off in power. Some people have had a sudden failure where the cam has broken. Mine had some broken followers when it was opened up. If they are on the way out the wear is very conspicuous. If you are concerned then lift the cam covers and have a look, and if you are considering mods i would say this is a pre start requirement rather than an option. As the Skoda garage down the road from you in Penryn did mine only at Christmas they would be able to tell you very quickly if there's a problem.mikeya4quattro said:small world, im in truro.
