Clutch shuddering on 2006 Jetta

Our 2006 jetta TDI's (which is 6000 miles out of warranty) clutch is very rough when starting out in 1st gear, it has 56,000 miles, all driven by adults and 90% highway miles for work. Are there any "secret" warranties? Are these "dual mass" flywheels a problem and what are our options. Want to stay away from VW Canada if possible. I am new to this forum and would appreciate any help.

Probably the DMF. Yes, it's a known weak point.
