That link didn't seem to work for me.....Try this one:

You will have to dig through the thread a bit, but the info is there. Member Boertje swapped his from a 01M to a 6-speed fairly recently, and has a wealth of knowlege on this topic and others.

Talk to user ryanp. He will likely be the source for the six-speed 'box in question, and he is very helpful. When I finally do save up enough, you bet I'll be talking to him :).

The only thing that's different between a 6 spd vs 5 spd swap from an auto is the parts themselves; transmission, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, starter and axles. The whole process of an automatic to manual conversion is otherwise the same.

So beyond the 6 spd conversion parts listed above, you'll also need a clutch pedal and bracket, master cylinder and hydraulic line, plus the hose that goes to the brake fluid reservoir. Two clutch switches along with the pig tails (a few inches of wiring with the connector...), a relay 53.

Also need a shift box with cables. A shift boot and knob...

I'm doing my 3rd auto to 5 spd swap right now. Just was dropped off this afternoon. Should have it done late tomorrow.
