2015 Jetta VCDS lacks ROD file

Trying to figure out how to connect to a 2015 Jetta. It seems that the EV name has a B on the end of it that doesn't match any of the supplied .rod files. It worked with the 2014 Beetle, just not the 2015 Jetta.

Pulled the following, I know incomplete scan, but all the rest of the modules came up ok, just not the engine address. Using an older HEX+CAN on the latest software, and it re-flashed the dongle when I used it the first time.

I think that has been fixed in the current beta version, but only the current generation HEX devices (HEX-NET and HEX-V2) can use the current beta. In the near future a new standard release of VCDS will come out that will work with the HEX+CAN and that should resolve the issue.

Ross-Tech fixed mine

After phase 2, I could nolonger view 01 Engine. I sent an autoscan to Ross-Tech, and they told me to download the latest version of VCDS. <I assumed that it would update if I told it to check for updates, I was running something like 18.2.0.2, and reinstalling from website was 18.2.0.5 if I recall correctly. It still did not have the rod file needed. Dana replied, and using my earliest known scan to them, from 2017, they were able to send me a functioning ROD file and told me where to save it. She said that it wouldn't be available until the next release for most people. Perhaps you could try your luck with them, or PM me if you would like me to forward my email from them with their attachments.
