Passat tdi 170 dsg remap

Hi guys, I've got a 2008 passat tdi 170 dsg, and am looking at getting it remapped, I just needed to know, will a remap affect my dsg gearbox, will the gearbox need remapping too? I've read a few threads saying a remap can affect a dsg? I'm from Merseyside, does anyone recommend a remapping vw specialist?
