VAG-COM in LA Area?

Might anybody here from the L.A. area have a VAG-COM, and be willing to help me do some recoding? I just installed a single-DIN Premium V radio into my double-DIN 2002 Jetta, and the steering wheel remote doesn't work, despite the fact that I hooked up the correct pin on the multifunction steering wheel controller to the correct pin on the radio... so I suspect the problem lies in the coding of the controller, or the radio, or both.

I'm in Pasadena (Caltech area). It's possible that somebody on the forums here may have seen my car around at some point, on freeways or the like (I notice a lot of posts about that sort of thing); my license plate is "A RND 2IT".

Thanks in advance for any help anybody can offer me...

There is a fellow in Gardena that has a shop and only works on TDI's.

Check the VAGCOM. ( At top of screen below FAQ)
or
http://www20.brinkster.com/beowulf9/tdi/vagcom/vagcom.asp

He has a shop so he may not have time to do stuff ( for FREE) like the people like me that have a Vagcom for personal use.

But there are a few others in Orange CO and LA

There is a note about a possible GTG here in So CAL.
If the fellows in LA or Orange can't help you maybe go to the GTG if they have one in a reasonable location near you.

Write or call the guys on the list.

That fact that they are on the list means they are good people and willing to help you.
