Power Steering Squealing

Hello, I had a rough power steering and noticed the power steering oil was low so I topped it up.
Since then there is a squealing sound and rough steering feel when turning.
Is the pump or rack damaged for good which happened because of low fluid?
How to make the sound go away and make the steering feel smooth when turning. I changed the serpentine belt but the new one makes the sound too.

Thanks, Neil

Make sure you have turned it lock to lock a couple of times...sometimes that will get noisy air out.

x2 air pockets if you're lucky.

Also, you have to look why you were low on fluid and figure out where the noise is coming from, the pump? Maybe the pump was damaged from low fluid (no lubrication)

Better check for leaks around the inner tie rod boots.
