F.S. 2005 VW Passat TDI GLS, Colorado
This is a very well maintained 2005 Passat TDI GLS with 210,000 miles. I purchased the car from the original owner with 70,000 miles 6 years ago. The miles I put on have been highway miles.
The vehicle has 2.0l TDI (not part of the recall)
Upgrades include Blaupunkt head unit w/navigation, amp, and speakers - along with Kicker sub. The car also has custom Bilstein sport springs and shocks that lower the car by 1”. The rims are OZ 17” X 7.5” rims. A/C blows cold.
I have maintained this car to keep it running to 300,000 miles. I’ve only used New OEM parts. Here is the maintenance history:
Within 500 miles
Turbo - OEM Garrett
EGR valve - New
Air Flow Sensor
Charge side hoses
Vacuum solenoid valve (controls turbo boost) - New
Windshield
Within 15K miles
Camshaft - new
Hydraulic cam lifters- new
Cam bearings -
Timing Belt
Timing belt rollers
Water Pump
Motor mounts - New
Transmission mounts
Throttle Body - New
Within 30K miles
Sport Springs
Sport Shocks
Front Upper and lower control arms
Subframe mounts
At 100K miles
Balance chain driven balance shaft module replaced with gear driven unit - new
The main issues are peeling clear coat and the front seats are worn out. The drivers side seat’s foam insert has been replaced .
