I've got your answer!

You've got 3 threads up on the first page, and they are getting redundant. Sorry to be blunt, but you need to do some research, and find the threads that already answer your questions.

GTB1756VK turbo on my alh? what do i need?

turbo internall upgrade?

2.4 jtd turbo on alh?

Then there's

turbo upgrade for alh tdi that bolts straight on?

what turbo can i put on my 90bhp tdi seat leon?

And this is not an "urgent" Power Enhancement request

reasonably urgent help needed please

Sorry, I had to do it, this section is getting clogged.

i know it must pi** people off when people like me post questions that have already been asked severall times but i can never find anything i want. the search option on this site is too lax imo. you type in something and it pretty much brings u everything, not literally but it hardly filters the search, cheers.

You add to the problem by cluttering the search with the same old questions. Now the next person has to wade through the shiitter to find the worthwhile information. That's 5 threads on the same question. You're making the problem you have, worse.

That's the problem, you can't delete them. So a new thread, over, and over, and over, and over just clogs the Section.

Here's the thing, it's easier to browse and scan the section (it is for me), but when it's full of junk you are forced to search.

Search by title only, search by the google option on the bottom, search through google.com and type "tdiclub: XXXXXX"

You're just doing it wrong.

If you want to go with a GTBxxxxVK, it is close to a complete solution in a box you will get. Those turbos are regarded as about as good as it gets for single turbo upgrades. I know I am well pleased with mine.

For much easier install the VNT17 or 17/22 hybrid are much easier. They do not hold as much potential though.

You will probably want to upgrade your SMIC to an FMIC for the bigger turbo, that might take some fabrication. But for mounting the turbo, it is pretty plug-n-play. Ryan makes it sound like even hooking into the TIP and IC piping might not be too hard.

You can also go with a Driver's Fire set-up similar to mine. For your ALH he can also supply an FMIC kit. Might be a little longer lead time though.

Either way, be ready for some work. Well worth it in my opinion. Turbo is just one piece of the puzzle.

i already have fmic i also have 216 nozzles, cat back exhaust, a proffesional remap and egr delete, k&n filter (i don't know why i have the k&n i am puting standard back in tommorow) and if/when i do the turbo i will look into bigger nozzles and a pd150 intake manifold and decat so i kind of have the supporting mods ready for a bigger turbo i think

Hi lambo,

I thought you said in your other thread, where I explained how these turbos fit (welded manifold vs RyanP tubular manifold), that you only had £350.

You realise this GTB conversion is easily going to cost £2000 (in parts alone), what with the turbo, manifold, balanced injectors, remap/tune, uprated SMIC, stronger clutch, hoses, etc.

If you've found some more money then the cheapest way to do it is TIG weld a 1.6 TD manifold onto a GTB1756VK (which also has to be converted to from electronic to vacuum actuator, so watch out for that on eBay,etc, as will add cost), and you will need a flange too, which RyanP sells.

Other parts to get the most out of your set-up:

- 11mm injection pump or frankenstein hybrid pump (£500-700)

- PD Lift pump

- Uprated engine mounts (otherwise you'll get too much wheel spin)

- Uprated brakes (pads and/or full brake conversion, or you won't be able to stop properly)

- Uprated suspension/bushes & strut braces + ARBs for handling

- Boost / EGT gauges (to monitor these levels so they don't get too high and cause damage)

- 3" exhaust

i am not looking into that kit that matey posted he just shown me so that i can see what i would need, and thats great help what you just posted^ in all honesty i think i am dreaming at the £350 pound mark to get a whole new turbo after looking into it mor in depth. unless the vag specialist that i know genuinly can get it done for £350 i think that 350 isn't even enough to get the internalls upgraded, i think its something i may have to give up on unless i get a sudden big wad of cash that just falls out of the sky

Even if you could get a hybrid turbo sorted for £350 (in dream world, of course), you'd definately need a remap/tune to suit anyway, adding hundreds more on. If you've not got the right money then forget what you'd like to do, and accept what you can do. It all adds up really quickly and you need sufficiently deep pockets to accomodate.
