Driver Side Power View Mirror

My 2004 Passat driver side power view mirror most likely needs replacement and I was wondering if anyone has used this one as a replacement (or similar)?

I believe the color is not going to match unfortunately (mine is an olive green). The OEM link is here:

I think the painted cover of the mirror can be removed and swapped with the old one. I know you can for sure on the MKIV Jetta. The Passat looks similar.

I have a spare left mirror for sale. Not right color but you can swap covers as Im000 said

Thanks for the heads up vwztips. I will keep this in mind.

The reason of my inquiry is that a couple of weeks ago while going through a car wash the mirror itself broke. The manager of the place said he is able to place an order for the mirror itself from the dealer and that it will attach correctly. We will see if that's the case since the mirror is heated so hopefully it comes together ok.
