Blinker Problems 2002 jetta tdi

Hello, i have a 2002 vw jetta tdi gls auto, and my blinker is not working at all. When i hit the blinker lever, it doesnt even appear on the dash that the blinker is on. The arrows dont come up on the dash nor do the blinker lights appear.

Have you changed the blinker fluid recently?

Check the fuse!

I checked the fuse, there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with it.

Did you ever find a solution? My fuzes are fine but I cannot get the blinkers to work. I am also hearing some odd noises coming from behind the dash - around the stereo area.

Check the hazard switch. It pops out from behind - remove a blind plug or seat heater switch first to reach the back of the hazard switch.

Use a test clip to connect pin 1 and pin 3 with the left signal on. The lights should start working. If they do, replace the hazard switch.
