Recent purchase. After 300 miles driving I get a red Oil Can light, but not a CEL, that says Oil Pressure low. Oil level is fine but I'm still getting the warning light. Engine seems to be running fine and fuel economy is good. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bart

I suggest you stop driving until you verify it's a sensor problem rather than a pressure problem.

Probably is the sensor since it seems that you've been driving like this a while but...

Yeah, a RED warning light means STOP now. Engines w/o oil presssure seize up.
But, it's probably a bad sensor, or you would have found out by now and had other questions and concerns.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I stopped however and change the sensor. Is the red stop now or die oil light always on, or is it an intermittently random thing that comes out of nowhere? After I changed the sending unit ( for 2010 it is on the oil filter housing) everything was O.K. Since then I put an oil pressure gauge on to be sure.
