Honestly, growing up on the prairies (Saskatchewan), a -15C (3°F) day felt quite nice after a week and some of daytime ranges of -42°C overnight, going up to maybe -30°C during the day.
This last cold snap that the middle of the continent just went through, where Texas electricity full-on broke down, it was in that range in that area of the country, reaching down into the Dakotas and Minnesota as well.
