Update on progress

So couldn't find anyone who could figure out what that part goes to and decided to leave it aside for now and I'm sure some issue will happen later to help me figure out what it was for...

changed the oil/oil filter, coolant, fuel filter, and bled the air out of the fuel lines, then tried to start her up. She started up briefly, then died and haven't been able to get her started since.

checked the fuel injection pump valve/switch and it is clean and I can hear the click as it moves when I turn the key.

disconnected the fuel lines from the injectors and can see that fuel is getting to them, so decided to pull the injectors out and clean them. Spent 4 hours 2 nights in a row to try and get them out, but they are frozen in place. Ordered metalnerd's injector puller and it came in today so going to try and get them out tonight.

I will update this thread as to the latest. Thanks everyone for the assistance and advice so far! Much appreciated!
