In the measuring block 5, it says trig. to ground.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

You need VAGCOM to reset it. If it comes back then you will need to clean the air bag module terminals. My '04 sets an air bag light when ever I hat a giant water puddle. When it dries out, I reset it and motor on.

Electrical Contact Cleaner.
From what I've read, if the airbags deployed, you may need to replace that ignitor. If it did not deploy, r+r the thing, then clear the code.

There are just too many to list....
It is most likely a bad connection under the seat. Common problem. In some cases, you need to wire past the connector on the bottom of the seat.

Take the driver seat out (easy), and you'll see what I mean. The SRS bits go through the yellow connectors.

I check all the connections on bottom of seat all ohmed out ok.

Ohmed out grounds to underneath the steering wheel.

even pulled the wiring harness apart to see if any broken wires.

Even changed the seat.

We can assume you reset the code and it just came back.
Interweb Guessing maybe you just bought this car recently and it's always had the code.

The yellow air bag connectors are gold plated to ensure operation over a long period of time. Yet they still oxidize a little on occasion.

The easy first move is to remove the front 2 nuts to release the seat and then you can tilt it up to allow reasonable access to the plugs. Pull the airbag connector apart. There's 2 of them, one is for the seat belt so the ECU can tell if you're being good. Check the contacts for any obvious sign of corrosion (there won't be, but look anyway). Then put the plug back together. Then pull it apart and put it back together. Repeat 4 more times. Then put a small dab of tune up grease (dielectric grease) on the contacts, put it back together a couple of times, then see if you can clear the fault.

Good luck & cheers,

Took seat out, cleaned all connection and used dielectrics grease on fittings, even did the air bag module. Reset the code and still nothing. Still have code.

You need to unplug the problem air bag and then do a rescan of the fault codes. You are reading a short to ground code. A dirty or loose connection will not give a short to ground code, instead it will say something with the word "open". When you pull the air bag off, the code should change to "open circuit" or something like that. If that is the case the problem is in the air bag. If the code is unchanged then you have a short somewhere in the wires or controller. The controller is looking for a resistance reading from the air bag to verify it is in the circuit. I forget the exact ohm reading but it is listed on this forum. I see a lot of other faults that indicate some possible wire issues. maybe something is pinched or an animal chewed through something and shorted things out. It may pay to chase those issues down and see if the problems are connected.

I had the same error code, I believe it was anyways. It was after I did the crayon-ectomy (ripping out all the carpet underlayment and putting in new synthetic stuff.) After buttoning it all back up I had the airbag light. Pulled the seats and wiring looked fine. I should have scanned codes to begin with but after I finally did it was reporting a short in the driver's side airbag in the b-pillar. Somehow I managed to undo the connector a little, which by the design of the connector, shorts the pins together when not fully seated. After seating the connector fully the error code went away.

Funny thing is I didn't touch that connector to begin with. Not sure how it came loose (only like 1/8").
