what is this a picture of?

If the picture does not load I will try to explain what I am looking at. Between the engine and the air box there are three small boot connectors that attach to something. There is a hose going into this on the drivers side of the engine. They look like an "L" shape spark plug boot. Now I know they are not spark plugs just trying to describe. They are on a 2001 NB TDI.

Coolant glowplugs. They help heat up the engine faster.

maaaan, that is so not what i wanted to see when i clicked on this thread.

Thanks one of the boots was off. I was sure wishing it had something to do with me blown fuse #9 but I have not figured that out yet.
