Would it be ok for a non-vendor to do this?

I am getting a lot of TDI and VW specific tools building up and was thinking that I probably should make money with them and rent them out like some people do. Would it be ok if a non-vendor rents out his personal tools on a regular bases? I am thinking it would be ok, but I want to make sure as I do not want to start any trouble here.

There are a handful of other members doing the same thing, but I haven't noticed if they are registered as vendors. Search and check them out. It wouldn't hurt to go through the registration process either.

I guess it's pretty much a gray area?
