//1500-2000rpm/engine vibration??

hi, i have a golf iv 150 pd engine, and i have noteced that mainle in 5º and 6º gear betwen 1500rpm and 2000rpm the engine vibrates a lot!
i know its not normal, because the car as 40 000km, and only for the past 2000km it makes that?

what do you think it is?

Well, not being able to experiance your car, I can only just guess.

But I would suspect that it might be the clutch slipping. If you have a dual mass flywheel like the 90 HP cars have, it could be the problem. Before I replaced mine, I noticed that when flooring the 'loud button', there would be a loud noise, which sounded like the exhaust hitting the underside of the car. After a while, this turned into clutch slip in 4th and 5th. I know you have the 150 HP engine, but I don't know how much different the flywheel is.. so it might be good to look into this aspect of it.
