Trunk will not open

Hello All,

Over thanksgiving my trunk decided to stay shut. I must of made it mad.

When I try with the fob, lever on the door, or Key I hear the motor work but it still stays locked shut. I am about to crawl in to the trunk from the back seats to take a look and see if I can get it open with that lever.

I have had the trunk latch replaced by the dealer under warranty due to not latching shut when closed. But I am far from that now. Car is in sig. Any ideas?

If so, try a hairdryer :)

It was thanksgiving night when it was outside at the inlaws. But not since. Garage has had a median temp of about 43 at my house. Don't ask why I have this..... Sore topic with the wife.

You can still open the trunk with the key, you just need to force it a bit.

Mine did the same thing, plastic actuator in the trunk snapped. Motor still makes noise, but it won't open :)
