CR TDI into 06 Jetta

Hey guys I am just curious if anyone has done this. If anyone has put an 09/10 TDI engine into an 06 Jetta. And if so would the 2.0 fit the auto trans in the 06. Any thoughts please.

The obvious question is "why bother" since a 2009 Jetta is the exact same car with the CR-TDI already installed, thus saving all the headaches and getting a three year newer car in the process.
