Stock front rotor size for Jetta 06 tdi manual

Good morning,
I have been finding mixed answers everywhere regarding the stock front rotor size. It's either 312mm or 288mm.

It sucks because i already got the centric high carbon discs in the mail. i measured they are 288mm. Im thinking 312mm might be stock though - so would these rotors not be good if theyre smaller?

Go by your vin, just went through this.
If I recall 8th digit "k" then 288 is correct.

When searching 8th digit is K and looking around, on two websites I found them offering the 312mm and 288mm rotor saying the same exact thing for the vin numbers


Anyone know from experience with their own 06 Jetta TDI manual what rotor size they have for the front? Thank you

Mine were 288....I say were because I put the 312 caliper brackets on for the 312 rotors...

Edit: Oh, and this is on a late '06 Jetta TDI 5sp. 7/8th VIN digit 1K

My 7th & 8th Digit in the VIN is 1K. Does that mean I can use either 288 or 312 mm size on my 2006 Jetta TDi? That's almost 1 inch difference; so I'd definitely want to go to 312 mm if my car can handle it. Can someone please reply?
