Power to power with memory seat swap

I installed some memory equipped power seats to my 05.5 TDI. The seats work, no airbag light on, heat workspace only thing that doesn't work is the memory function. If I press the memory button, the seat moves to the memorized position of the donor car.

Have you moved the seat all the way through its range of movement? apparently it has to learn its limits of travel before it can be programmed. It also has to be added in VCDS

Our MY06 Pkg2., 8/'06 production has the memory drivers seat w/ 3 positions.
