Asking a question is not always about information, it also has a social function, you know, have a talk with somebody.

Make some friends, share thoughts..... have some fun.

What vehicle are you trying to upgrade?

Basically an upgraded vnt turbo will increase spool, power, the amount of air it flows, etc.

If we knew what vehicle you were interested in upgrading, we could make suggestions on what a suitable upgrade would be ;)

No, it was a question in general. A new turbo is expensive, upgrading seems to be less expensive. I am not allowed to asked questions in this paragraph about my car, there is special threat about my car. Besides that, all I wanted to know is confirmed, except the injector stuff. It seems to be difficult for everybody, I have to see a specialist for that one.

It seems that if you are familiar with upgrading, you can build what ever you wish for.

Ehhh.... like titanium made turbo parts?

You're best bet is to buy a used turbo that's an upgrade for your application. You aren't going to be upgrading compressor wheels in your garage.

I think nobody can do that at home. There are many shops around the world who upgrade turbos. They have special equipment to balance a turbo, if they can repair one, they can upgrade it too. No turbo shops in the US or Canada?

Yes, this is pretty much common knowledge.
