Arosa CR - 550hp - 9.7 @ 150mph 1/4 Mile, Citigo 4x4 CR TDi - 340hp, Caddy 2.0 CR 4x4 TDI - 300+hp, Golf Mk2 Van 1.9 TDI - was 290hp, Mk5 Ibiza 2.0 FR TDi - 270hp, BMW 135d - 360hp, BMW 330d - 335hp, BMW 335d - 380hp + a few more ........
We used the GTD2060 on our 1.9 PD Ibiza race car, it spooled the same as a GTB2260 so we swapped back, did not see the benefit. Maybe at higher HP it would be a bit better but the old 2260 is hard to beat!

The lack of maps is a PITA. I now have an ALH project, and it will be getting a turbo...the GTD2056 looks quite nice; I like the larger exhaust side and don't think I need to get bonkers with low RPM boost( to keep 5th gear happy among others ). Any experience with this puppy yet? Searches on GTD2056 usually turn up the earlier GTB2056...

Douglas
I currently have the BMW gtd2056vzk on a M47N (20d 150ps) engine and love the turbo.. It spools 2Bar @2k rpm in higher gears and has really nice top end. Waiting on some nozzles to see if it breaks 300hp with ~1.2 lambda. :)
Be aware that there's a gtd2056vzk with 38mm inducer CW instead of 43mm, in a Ford Ranger and some other engines, IIRC.

Thank you very much. I am very interested in smaller one. I just googled like a hell to find disassambled one and without any success. I need photo of standalone smaller one focused from hot side.

And one more question: does anybody know which compressor is used to upgrade GTD1752VRK to "56"?

Thank you for any help or advice.

The earlier ones were GTB, and the newer ones GTD.

I have one disassembled on my bench. I'll snap some pics for you

Need some turbo chra ID help. Currently running a BMN exhaust manifold with some type of GT(B)1749VC chra with a BMM compressor housing. Problem is the chra is NOT from a BMM. The actuator lever is on the opposite side of the chra and pulls down instead of up as on the BMM/BMN. I'm running this turbo on my 82 vanagon AHU at 50°. It is configured high mount as it would be on the BMM. I made the custom actuator bracket, did the reclocking etc. Turbo works fantastic but I want to have a spare chra ready just in case. tia

Looks stock gt1446vz turbo chra but it would be a good idea to upload pictures of the actual chra…many chra interchange from Renault or Opel…

Also gtb1756vk chra fits well into gtb1749vb housings. The gtb1749 VC was fitted onto certain a6 tdi…

The bearing housing might be from the Audi 2.7L V6 TDI with the Garrett GTB1756VK turbo, as it has the VNT lever on the opposite side.

But keep in mind that this bearing housing would need a modification of the VNT lever arm, as the Audi 1756 turbo comes with an electric actuator and long lever, but the 1749VC is equipped with an vacuum actuator and short lever.....so this needs to be swapped to the short one to ake it work.

To make a replacement/spare CHRA you would need to determine if the wheels used in your curent turbo are still the stock GTB1749VC or if the compressor housing has been machined to accept the 56mm compressor and if the nozzle ring cage from the 1756 has been used to accept the bigger turbine wheel.....

so this chra has the short arm of a vacuum operated unit and appears completely unmolested. I'm at a loss and have resigned to just modifying a stock BMN chra to fit my application. Current turbo is working fine just want a backup in case disaster strikes.

I've searched for this turbo in here and couldn't find it so here it goes:

GTD2056VZK BMW - 265ps B57 engine

TW: 46,9/43
CW: 43,4/56,1 with 57,7 Extended tips

MFS compressor wheel
This turbo is of interest to me... Has anyone here run one? With V-band flanges at both the turbine inlet and outlet It seems it'd be one of the simpler to build with.

Seems like the database could do with an update.

Both BMW and Audi now use the GTE Series turbo.

Bmw in twin configuration 895024-5003S

Audi in single Rated in OEM configuration 342hp
059145873FQ

There may also be a new big boy turbo to try;

GTC4088VNK 51091017335 supposed to be 512hp in OEM configuration.

Maybe someone could shed some more light? Ryanp?

Audi one should be GTD2263vzk, with similair connections as GTD2060 / Merc VKLR
That BMW one is interesting though... GTE30VZK, latest generation VNT in this frame size.

What about the GTD1752vrk ?
My experience. Sharan AUY. Photo of gauge to let you look at pedal response and boost rise. IMHO best possible turbocharger for 1,6-2,3 diesel used as daily. Capable for 235 hp on 8V PD.

Sorry for double post but I would like to ask members here for recoomendation. I need some sequential twinturbo setup for 2.0 16V BKD for about 370hp with reserves.

My idea is to use turbocharger from BMW F10 4.0. 313hp but use VRK as smaller turbocharger.

hi guys, is there any knowledge about this turbo?

i can only found that is bv43 but there is no more info about it. We are going to put it for a 1.6 lt multijet engine :)
We were searching for gtd1752 from giulia but my friend found this giulia 2.2 210 ps specified turbine and bought :D

For sure this is not for a Giulia 2.2 210ps. Looking at the Borgwarner number, it appears to be a K03.

Definitely NOT for a Giulia 2.2 210ps.

It is KKK, so I expect weak shaft (slimmed down), nothingfor serious tuning. You shoul go GTD1752VRK way. How I already wrote: I don´t know about better turbocharger for 1,4-2,3l.
