So I tried to PM a couple of people on the site that I know are knowledgeable, however I haven't gotten a response.

I'm looking to get the engine that's at the machinist right now to be overbored, and was told by him that a 82.5mm bore would be feasible. I'm kind of concerned that it would be starting to interfere with the cooling / oil galleys.... Either way, any knowledge would be helpful, thanks!

I thought I read somewhere that the concern of going that big would be getting into structural issues with the cylinder walls between cylinders. Not enough meat left for properly containing combustion forces. Flexing and subsequently leading to failure.

You get head gasket issues leaking between cylinders true headwarp.
Also cylinder wall get to thin. I'm still 1.9 L

Marek ran 82mm bore with forged Capricorn pistons in his high power build..
That is probably one of the most bleeding edge builds to date on this site @ ~500hp

81mm bore is the most anyone really needs IMO :)

I think my newest motor is 81.5mm oversized BHW pistons. Haven't ran it yet though.
