2014 front diff capacity?

On my current 2014 Touareg just drained the front differential and refilled with correct VW gear oil.
I filled until it started to run out the fill hole.
Now it is making an odd sound under acceleration, sort of like gear rumble or a very low pitched bearing howl. Until this drain and refill the front diff has not made a sound that was abnormal. The last ‘14 had a bearing go so I’m familiar with the sound it made. This is not the same.
Wondering if I over filled it. Couldn’t find a definitive spec on capacity.
Thanks for info that someone can share.

Did you re-check it again to be sure there is enough fluid? Possibly an air pocket or something did not permit a full fill. I assume you filled on flat surface? I doubt you could overfill.

Put almost an entire quart in before it started to come out the fill hole.
That was done via 3 separate pours from a small squeeze bottle and hose, plenty of room for air to escape from around hose.
Air pocket is possible but unlikely based on how long it took to get the oil in.
