My 2012 Golf TDI refuse to rev up 2700 RPM at some moment especially at stop. On the road the motor begin to rev up normally with normal power. I have 110 000 km on the motor. The fuel filter was change, the air filter too.
Some idea?
I checked with VAG-COM; no codes.

I think they're designed this way. Revs are limited when the car is stopped, but they'll rev higher when you're moving. Mine is the same way and I'm pretty sure it's completely normal.

If you really need to sit still and rev the engine for no reason, try turning off traction control.

@gilles_o I had the same on my JSW and I think that @turbobrick240 hit the nail on the head. Turn off traction control.

As soon as I did that it allowed me to rev beyond that 2600 mark. Coincidentally for me it's ONLY when stopped and the clutch is disengaged. When I'm driving I can go all the way to redline.

on my mk6 jsw tdi it revs to that in neutral. But if i turn the traction control off it revs higher. might be the same across the board.
