After experiencing the harsh rains in New England recently - I noticed a water logged floor mat on the Passanger Side Rear seat in the Wagon. So I cut the rubber nipples to the front drains near the door hinges of the front doors.
Then I poured water into the ' rear' drain holes and looked for where the water would come out to find the rear drains. Found the rear drains right in front of the rear tires - but they are not accessable to cut off that flawed rubber nipple design VW went with right at the exit point. I do see a little plastice ( almost triangle) screwed into the wheel well of the station wagon. To get my razor to those rear rubber nibbles - is removing that small triangle or plastic the way to go or does the entire plastic wheel well have to come off?
Also, I have a sedan. Also a 2005 PD TDI. How do I gain access to cut the rubber rear nipples on the sedan too?
Thanks
