02 Jetta CV Axle End

Trying to replace the driver's side CV axle end. Not the whole CV axle just the end. I'm wondering if anyone's done a write-up on this procedure and, if so, where can I find it. I've searched the how-to section of the forum and am coming up short. I have the bentley, but it's a little vague in this area. I'd like to be a little more certain of what I'm doing than what I am just from looking at the handful of pics in the manual.

OK, just a wee bit of help is still required: are you replacing the inner CV joint at the transaxle or the outer CV joint by the wheel?
