Too many.
QuickTD is 100% correct. AAZ cranks are garbage. I personally destroyed 4 of them over the years. AHU is the way to go, or if you can't find one machine the end to use the AHU sprocket. I still managed to break one even after doing that at only 20psi.

While the AHU crankshaft is a great upgrade I'm almost certain that an ALH crankshaft is also a drop in for the older 028 block.

Probably even easier to find a mint ALH crankshaft and sprocket and it has an even better setup and with a 14mm bolt vs the 12mm.

Dad and I reworked many damaged AAZ crankshafts with the engine in the car to accept the AHU sprocket in the past.

I've seen crank sprocket/key problems with the 1.6 D,AHU and ALH.None of these systems are good if someone loosens the crank bolt then reuses it thinking they have it tight enough.

I agree with Bruce about the clutched alternator pully !
