This car has been my daily driver since I purchased it four and a half years ago. It's in overall solid shape.
Starts, runs, shifts, and drives great.
I'm only selling because we have solar and I bought an electric car.
This car has been maintained by Rich at Fix'Um Haus in St. Johns. Rich is one of only 2 TDI gurus in the Portland area, and I highly recommend him as an awesome and reasonable VW mechanic. He says the car is in good shape, and is happy to talk to a prospective buyer.
The Good:
- Sunroof and heated seats!
- Timing belt replaced at 216,000
- Clutch replaced at 211,500
- Turbo rebuilt at 209,000
- Alternator replaced at 215,000
- brake pads have plenty of life
- Malone level 1 chip tune and 3 bar Map sensor
- Pioneer stereo with aux in and replaced stock tweeters
- Key FOB and spare key included
- AC blows nice and cold
- Clean title in hand
- No accidents
The not-so-good, but no major issues. (All should be included in pictures):
- front bumper, like many Jettas, is detached after meeting a parking barrier. Sigh.
- original passenger side tire needs repair. Spare is currently installed.
- glove box is non-operational. Latch and hinge are broken.
- small additional turn signal on passenger side by door is missing its cover
- front dome light control switch is broken
- paint starting to crack and peel a bit in some places
- backseat change container broken
Overall, this car is a great deal and will get you where you need to go for many years to come. Drop a line if you'd like to hear more or set up a test drive.
