Series 7 Borg Warner Turbocharger V.2 or VNT 17 FOR Bew engine?

I bought my brothers car after his timing belt failed. He was close to the 80k mark and had just within a couple thousand miles just put a 3 bar map, the Series 7 Borg Warner Turbocharger V.2 and 3 inch exhaust as well as return from kerma. I am not as familiar with this turbo but more the VNT17 turbo. Should I sell this turbo and retune with a VNT17 or keep with the replacement engine? I am not really about power as I am reliability and I don't have a lot of money to throw around either. I just want to get this on the road so my wife can drive the kids around and I can drive my Golf rather then a minivan with 1/2 the mpg (although we will keep the van as we don't all fit in one car).

If there's no excessive play in it, keep it. If you're worried, have Kerma tame the tune down for you. Much cheaper than buying a whole new turbo.
